Our Prostate Smart Screening is a same-day private service designed to give you a clearer picture of your prostate health. Instead of relying on the prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test alone, it combines several advanced tests to improve accuracy and spot potential signs of prostate cancer sooner.
A PSA test by itself can be influenced by factors like urinary tract infections, vigorous exercise or recent sexual activity. By adding further diagnostics, our screening gives you and your consultant the full picture so you can decide together on the best next steps.

Who is Prostate Smart Screening for?
Prostate Smart Screening is available to self-paying who want to take a proactive approach to their health.
While there is currently no national screening programme for prostate cancer, some men may choose to be screened—particularly those at higher risk or with concerns.
Having a Prostate Smart Screening can be beneficial for men who:
- Are over 40 and have a family history of prostate or breast cancer
- Are over 40 and of Black ethnicity, as the lifetime risk of prostate cancer increases from 1 in 8 to 1 in 4
- Have urinary problems, such as a slower stream or waking in the night to urinate
- Are over 50 and want to understand your prostate health even without any symptoms

Specialist urologist consultation
As part of your screening, you’ll have an in-depth appointment with one of our world-class consultants, who will review your results and explain any recommended next steps.
If needed, further diagnostic tests and scans can be arranged, but we’ll discuss this with you beforehand so you’re fully prepared for any additional steps or costs.
PSA profile blood test
This simple blood test measures the level of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in your blood to help detect potential prostate problems at an early stage. Raised PSA levels can suggest prostate cancer, but it may also be elevated due to other factors like an enlarged prostate or an infection.
3T MRI of the prostate
This advanced imaging test, considered the gold standard, uses a powerful 3T MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scanner to create highly detailed pictures of your prostate while maintaining your comfort.
It plays a vital role in identifying any unusual areas that may need further investigation. The scan can show if cancer is present, how much of the prostate it affects and whether it may have spread.
If the scan reveals anything concerning, it also helps your consultant decide if a biopsy (tissue sample) is needed and pinpoints the most accurate areas to sample. This makes diagnosis more precise and helps avoid unnecessary procedures.
Urine analysis
A quick and straightforward test that examines your urine to identify signs of problems affecting the urinary tract or prostate. The urine analysis will:
> Check for infection or inflammation
> Following an elevated PSA result, to provide further information before deciding whether a biopsy is needed
> To assess risk factors that may indicate a higher likelihood of aggressive prostate cancer
Urine flow test with ultrasound
This test includes two parts: a urine flow test and a bladder ultrasound. This assesses how well you empty your bladder and how strong your urine stream is. You will be asked to urinate into a special device that measures the flow rate. Afterwards, an ultrasound scan checks if any urine remains in your bladder.
Together, these tests help identify issues such as poor bladder emptying, urinary flow obstruction, or an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia)—common causes of urinary symptoms. These tests are used to assess urinary function, not to diagnose prostate cancer directly.
Your journey with us
Our Prostate Smart Screening is designed to be simple, efficient and reassuring from start to finish. The package price is £1,800 for all the diagnostic tests listed above. All consultation fees for your initial and follow-up appointments are charged separately by the consultant.
Step 1: Contact our team

Step 2: Your initial consultation and tests
In most cases, your consultation and all the tests included in the package will take place on the same day. Occasionally, depending on availability, some tests may need to be carried out the following day.
Step 3: Review your results
Your results are usually available the same or the next day. Tests sent to an external lab, such as the PSA, can take 4–7 days. Your consultant will discuss your results directly with you in person, over the phone or via video call – whichever is more convenient for you – so you have the opportunity to ask questions and fully understand the findings.
Step 4: Next steps if needed
