Your room and facilities

All our patient bedrooms are well-equipped with everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible, including:

  • Electronic patient-controlled bed
  • En-suite bathroom
  • Air conditioning
  • TV and radio with remote control
  • Telephone with direct dial facilities
  • Nurse call system
  • Personal safety deposit box/safe for any valuables, but it’s best to leave anything you don't need at home
  • WiFi internet access is available throughout The London Clinic, and we encourage the use of the use of video calling

We have some mobile devices that you can use if you do not have your own and want to keep in touch with friends or family.

If you bring any electrical appliances, please ask your nurse to get them checked by one of our electricians.

Cleaning

Cleanliness and hygiene are important to everyone in the hospital.

We have our own housekeeping team who will clean your room every day, supply fresh towels each day and deep clean your room after you leave.

Concierge service

During your stay, our concierges can help you arrange travel and accommodation, book tours, theatre shows and restaurants.

Our visitor policy was updated on 14 January 2022, in accordance with UK Government guidelines. Here you will find information about getting to the clinic and guidance for visitors.

Our pharmacy

If you need any medications to take home with you, your doctor will write you a prescription which our on-site pharmacy will dispense for you.

One of our highly trained pharmacists will talk to you about how to take your medication correctly and tell you about any possible side effects.

The Devonshire Café

The Duchess of Devonshire wing café open from 7.30am to 5.30pm every weekday.

The café provides a calm setting for patients and visitors away from the hospital environment.

A range of products from The Soho Sandwich Company, Paul Rhodes Artisan Bakery and Lavazza coffee are available alongside a wide selection of other food and beverages.

Day surgery unit

If you’re having treatment and leaving the same day, this is likely to be in our day surgery unit.

The unit is based on the third floor at 20 Devonshire Place and is open Monday to Friday, 7am to 8pm.

Each theatre is dedicated to a specialty and our dedicated nursing staff work with expert teams to provide the care you need without delay.

We have private pods available if you need to change clothes for your procedure, in waiting areas equipped with television screens.

We also have patient bedrooms in the day surgery unit, if required.

Food and drink

Eating well forms a vital part of your treatment and recovery. Our catering team, guided by our expert dietitians, offer a healthy and tasty dishes influenced by many culinary styles.

Our catering team work to understand your requirements, taking into account your dietary needs and working closely with our dietitians to offer the ideal menu for your recovery.

We prepare all our dishes with fresh produce and, where possible, we buy our ingredients locally and sources our fish sustainably.

We have long-standing relationships with Smithfield meat market, Billingsgate, Home Counties farms and Cornish day boats.

Intensive care unit

Our intensive care unit (ICU) provides specialised care for critically ill and post-operative patients with complex conditions and needs. With 13 individual patient rooms, our modern ICU facility provides world-class care using the latest technologies and treatment protocols.
