We offer a wide range of additional therapies to get you back on your feet.
When you’re ready to leave The London Clinic, we’ll give you advice to follow once you’re home.
We’ll promise to keep in contact with you over the following weeks to ensure everything is going well.
A few weeks later, you’ll come back to the clinic for a follow-up appointment to discuss how your recovery is going with your consultant.
What The London Clinic can do
Following your treatment, we will monitor you carefully and find out how you are feeling.
Once your consultant agrees that you are well enough to leave, you will be discharged from The London Clinic. Then you’ll be able to start your recovery at home.
We usually discharge patients between 10am and 11am in the morning.
Please ask your nurse to call reception. They will arrange for one of our friendly hospital porters to help you with your belongings.
If you’re having a procedure that involves putting you to sleep (such as sedation or general anaesthetic), you’ll need to make some arrangements.
Ensure that a friend or relative can take you home by car after you wake up. They’ll need to look after you for a minimum of 24 hours after your procedure.
Treatments that may require aftercare
The treatments that are likely to require aftercare include:
- Orthopaedic surgery
- Cancer treatments
- Cosmetic surgery
- Weight loss surgery
In a pre-assessment appointment, we will provide you with a personalised treatment plan, just for you.
As part of your all-inclusive package, we will let you know what aftercare options are available and recommend the right choices for you. This might include sessions with our specially trained physiotherapists or ongoing dietary support, helping you make long-term improvements to your health and wellness.
