Mr Daniel Williams Consultant Profile

Mr Daniel Williams is a highly skilled, fellowship trained trauma and orthopaedic surgeon who specialises in managing hand and upper limb problems. His NHS practice is based at Barts Health NHS Trust, providing elective and trauma care at Whipps Cross Hospital and The Royal London Hospital.

Mr Williams has a comprehensive upper limb practice, delivering complex trauma and elective surgery solutions, including reconstruction of the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder. Passionate about patient care, he uses arthroscopic surgery, joint replacement, and innovative techniques such as patient-specific 3D-printed implants. He works within a multidisciplinary team, performing surgery only when needed.

Mr Williams qualified in medicine at the University of Bristol Medical School in 2007 and completed orthopaedic specialty training in London on the renowned Percival Pott Rotation. After receiving his Fellowship of The Royal College of Surgeons in 2017, he undertook a two-year fellowship at the Brisbane Hand and Upper Limb Unit in Australia.

With a background in elite sports as a national swimmer and international water polo player, he understands the importance of working closely with sportspeople at all levels to get them active again quickly and safely.
