Dr Ravi Misra
Dr Ravi Misra is a consultant gastroenterologist and endoscopist. His major interests are inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), reflux, abdominal pain and change in bowel habit. His PhD studied the microbiome in health and disease. He is an expert in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
Bio
Dr Ravi Misra is a gastroenterologist and endoscopist. He was appointed as a consultant at St. Mark’s Hospital, a tertiary referral centre for Gastroenterology. His major interests are inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) reflux, diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
After completing his medical degree from Imperial College, London in 2005, Dr Misra undertook specialist training on the prestigious North West Thames London rotation.
He completed a fellowship in advanced endoscopy at St Mark’s Hospital and is skilled at diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. He has a keen interest on the impact of diet on gut microbiota and gastrointestinal disease. He was awarded a PhD from Imperial College for his study on the impact of ethnicity on epidemiology, metabolic and microbial profiling.
Dr Misra is active in research and has published articles in peer reviewed journals and presented at leading international conferences. He is a member of the British Society of Gastroenterology, Royal College of Physicians and Higher Education Academy.
