Prof Raj Srirajaskanthan consultant profile

Prof Raj Srirajaskanthan is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Professor of Gastroenterology at The London Clinic, London Bridge Hospital, King’s College Hospital and King’s College London, with extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of digestive disorders, liver disease and neuroendocrine tumours. He provides expert, patient-centred care for individuals experiencing a wide range of gastrointestinal symptoms, including abdominal pain, indigestion, heartburn and reflux, bloating, diarrhoea, constipation, altered bowel habit and positive qFIT tests and abnormal LFTs.

Prof Srirajaskanthan understands that digestive symptoms can significantly affect quality of life and are often a source of anxiety. His approach is based on listening carefully, explaining clearly and ensuring that every patient has a thorough understanding of their diagnosis, investigations and treatment options.

Alongside his general gastroenterology work, he is internationally recognised for his expertise in neuroendocrine tumours (NETs). Raj is Head of the King’s Health Partners ENETS Centre of Excellence, one of the largest and most respected neuroendocrine tumour centres in Europe, caring for patients from across the UK and internationally. He serves on the Executive Committee of the European Neuroendocrine Tumour Society (ENETS) and is Treasurer of UKINETS. Furthermore, he is a ESMO faculty member for the NETs and Endocrine tumour faculty group. Through these roles, Raj has helped shape the clinical management and education of neuroendocrine tumours both nationally and internationally.
