Mr Yassar Qureshi Consultant Profile
Mr. Yassar Qureshi is an experienced Upper GI and General Surgeon, specialising in oesophageal and gastric cancer treatment and benign disease of the abdomen.
He qualified from St. Bartholomew’s and The Royal London School of Medicine and gained entry into higher surgical training with the London Deanery. He received broad training as a general surgeon, including surgical oncology at The Royal Marsden. He developed a particular sub-specialist interest in oesophageal and gastric cancer and benign surgery, completing this training at UCLH. He was awarded his fellowship with The Royal College of Surgeons of England and undertook an international fellowship in South Africa.
Mr. Qureshi maintains an active interest in research and development in his field, having authored several book chapters and over 20 peer-reviewed manuscripts. Presently, he is a substantive Consultant at University College London Hospital, where he is the Chair of the Regional Oesophago-Gastric Cancer Multidisciplinary service. He is also the Training Lead for resident doctors, a lecturer and volunteers in the humanitarian sector.
