Mr Elgohary has a broad experience in general ophthalmology and cataract surgery as well as a sub-specialised interest in vitreous & retinal disorders, including floaters, retinal tears & detachment, macular hole, diabetic complications e.g. vitreous haemorrhage. Mr Elgohary also has expertise in the management of eye injuries and trauma as well as in performing complex lens implant procedures, e.g. reposition or exchange of subluxated or dislocated lens implants.

Bio

Mr. Mostafa Elgohary is a Consultant Ophthalmologist specialising in vitreoretinal surgery at Kingston Hospital. His extensive training includes a residency in the North Thames London Deanery program, with rotations at Broomfield Hospital, UCLH, and Moorfields Eye Hospital. He completed his vitreoretinal surgery fellowship also at Moorfields Eye Hospital and trained in paediatric ophthalmology and vitreoretinal disorders at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto.

Mr. Elgohary is passionate about teaching and regularly lectures to undergraduate and postgraduate students. He also presents at national and international ophthalmology meetings. His main research interests and publications are in cataract and vitreoretinal surgery.
