Dr Tara Tofiq is a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in the interface between mental and physical health, with expertise in oncology and complex medical conditions.

She works with individuals experiencing psychological distress in the context of serious illness, treatment burden, and recovery. Her approach brings together neuroscience, thoughtful use of medication, and psychologically informed care, with a focus on supporting individuals to regain a sense of balance, clarity, and overall wellbeing in their daily lives.

She offers assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders, including health anxiety, and across the broad spectrum of general adult psychiatry, including anxiety and stress related disorders, adjustment disorders, OCD, mood disorders, and substance misuse.

Dr Tofiq has over 20 years’ experience across the NHS and private sector, including senior clinical and leadership roles. She has worked within oncology services at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and has collaborated with multidisciplinary teams managing complex and life-limiting conditions.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Tofiq has experience in research and development within neuroscience and drug development, and has advised on service design, clinical strategy, and the delivery of innovative models of care.

Dr Tofiq provides comprehensive, consultant-led assessments and personalised treatment plans, working collaboratively with patients, families, and treating medical teams.
