Dr. Nabil Kibriya is a highly accomplished Hepatobiliary and Interventional Radiologist with extensive expertise in advanced image guided therapies and complex liver interventions. Since becoming a consultant in 2012, he has played a central role in establishing Kings College Hospital NHS as a national centre of excellence for chemoembolisation (TACE), microwave ablation, and irreversible electroporation (Nanoknife). He’s clinical practice spans a wide spectrum of high-volume, high-complexity procedures, alongside acute an emergency interventional work.

Nabil holds multiple national leadership and proctorship roles reflecting his authority in the field. He serves as a national proctor for several advanced interventional technologies and is actively involved in training and mentoring radiologists across the UK. As a Training Lead and an Educational Supervisor, he has made significant contributions to postgraduate education and development of future specialists.

Academically, Dr Kibriya has an extensive research portfolio, contributing to major international clinical trials in hepatiocellular carcinoma and metastatic liver disease. He has also numerous peer reviewed publications in leading journals, covering interventional oncology, liver directed therapies, and innovative procedural techniques, as well as contributing to book chapters and multi-centre studies.

He is also a prolific presenter, regularly invited to speak at major national and international conferences, including CIRSE, ECIO, ET, ESGAR and BSIR. His presentations focus on advancing precision in liver interventions, embolisation strategies and novel ablation technologies, highlighting both is clinical expertise and commitment to innovation.

His combined contributions to clinical practice, research and education, Dr Kibriya is widely recognised as a leader in interventional radiology come over a sustained impact on both national international practice.
