Dr Michael Smith Consultant Profile
Dr Smith graduated from Imperial College London with merit in his medical finals in 2015. He has trained in Wales, London and Essex where he experienced the following hospital specialities: Acute medicine, A&E, plastic surgery, cardiac surgery, general surgery, trauma and orthopaedics, gastroenterology, psychiatry and urology. He completed his GP training in Essex.
He prides himself on his approachability, communication skills and the rapport that he establishes with his patients and colleagues. He takes the utmost care and always provides a patient-centred approach to his practice. The thought process behind his attitude to general practice, treatment and diagnosis of disease is that of how he would like his family members treated.
Dr Smith enjoys working alongside a team of dedicated doctors and staff at The London Clinic and believes they learn from one another each day.
He enjoys all aspects of general practice and family medicine but in particular; urgent care, diabetes, cardiology, sexual health, preventative and lifestyle medicine, occupational medicine, and mental health.
Outside of medicine Dr Smith enjoys keeping active, watching almost any sport, entertaining and spending time with close friends and family while trying to keep up with his energetic toddler.
