Dr Matharoo is a consultant Gastroenterologist at The London Clinic, with a specialist interest in endoscopy, patient safety and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).

Dr Matharoo graduated from Imperial College School of Medicine with honours, has a first class intercalated BSc. She was awarded a PhD from Imperial College entitled ‘Improving Safety and Quality in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Patient Pathways’. Dr Matharoo is a consultant Gastroenterologist and Endoscopy Training Lead at St Mark’s Hospital NHS Trust and was previously Governance lead.

She was awarded a PhD from Imperial College entitled ‘Improving Safety and Quality in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Patient Pathways’ for which she received the St Mark’s John Nicholls research prize. Manmeet is an Associate Editor for Frontline Gastroenterology and is well published in the field of endoscopy quality and safety.

Dr Matharoo was previously the chairperson of the British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) ‘Supporting Women in Gastroenterology’ (SWIG) sub-section and remains actively involved actively involved in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. She is also the BSG representative for the Royal College of Physicians Patient Safety Committee.

Manmeet has a specialist interest in endoscopy, patient safety and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and is experienced in providing patient centred care for all common gastrointestinal conditions, diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures.
