Dr Alastair Hughes Consultant Profile
Dr Hughes graduated from Newcastle University in 2016. He completed his foundation training at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, and general practice training at Kingston and Richmond NHS Foundation Trust. During his training he gained experience in the following hospital specialities: acute medicine, accident & emergency, elderly care, general/internal medicine, paediatrics, psychiatry (including The Priory Hospital), obstetrics & gynaecology, neonatology and trauma & orthopaedics.
Dr Hughes enjoys all aspects of general practice and family medicine but in particular; urgent care, cardiology, sports and exercise medicine, preventative and lifestyle medicine, and mental health. Above all, he enjoys getting to know his patients and providing personalised medical care.
Outside of medicine Dr Hughes enjoys travelling, as well as staying active with sports including triathlon, tennis, golf and sailing. He lives with his family in southwest London.
