Mr Sameer Trikha
Mr Sameer Trikha is an internationally renowned Ophthalmic Surgeon based at The London Clinic Eye Centre, and specialises in micro-incision cataract surgery.
Bio
Mr Sameer Trikha is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon with a specialist interest in Cataract, Glaucoma and Emergency eye conditions. He specialises in personalised cataract care to ensure patients have the best visual outcomes based on their specific needs. Mr Trikha has published widely and is regularly invited to lecture around the world.
His faculty position is at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, London. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Southampton with distinction, and finished his Ophthalmology residency in the Wessex region before completing a Clinical Research Fellowship in Glaucoma at the prestigious Singapore Eye Research Institute and Clinical Fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital. In addition, he has recently completed an MBA in Healthcare Management from Imperial College, London.
Mr Trikha is a national prize winner, and has published widely in Ophthalmology, with over 28 peer reviewed publications and two books to his name. He is regularly invited to lecture on topics such as Cataract, Glaucoma and Digital Health at events around the world and is a key opinion leader, working closely with industry to provide the latest medical and surgical treatments for his patients. He is actively involved in surgical education, and co-authored both cataract and glaucoma surgery modules for the ‘Touch Surgery’ mobile application, which has been downloaded over 30000 times across 162 countries worldwide.
Mr Trikha is passionate about improving the quality and accessibility of care for patients through the use of digital technology, and founded Visulytix – an Artificial Intelligence company that developed ground breaking solutions for the early detection of conditions such as Glaucoma, Diabetic retinopathy and Age related macular degeneration. He served as their Chief Medical Officer leading to their successful exit in 2019.
He likes to work in a long term partnership with his patients, to provide world class quality of care, every time.
