Mr Khalid Ghufoor is a senior ear nose throat surgeon with expertise in head and neck cancer surgery, minimal access techniques for removal of tumour in the voice and throat areas. He has extensive experience of transoral surgery using laser and robots.
Bio
Mr Khalid Ghufoor is a consultant ear, nose and throat surgeon with extensive experience in dealing with complex and tertiary conditions. He is renowned for clinical excellence, broad surgical repertoire, and holistic patient focussed care. His practice covers the full spectrum of ENT and head and neck conditions. He has delivered excellent outcomes in airway and breathing disorders. He is particularly sought after for his work in sleep apnoea surgery over the last 25 years using lasers and cutting-edge procedures, such as transoral robotic surgery (TORS) and hypoglossal nerve stimulator (HGNS) implantation.
Mr Ghufoor has been a leader in a range of institutions including clinical director for ENT at the Royal London Hospital and network director for Barts Health ENT. His broad and comprehensive training enables him to provide expert care across the full spectrum of ear, nose, and throat conditions.
Mr Ghufoor is passionate about education and innovation. He is an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London and has published widely in peer-reviewed journals, and presents regularly at national and international conferences, ensuring his practice remains firmly rooted in the latest evidence-based care.
