Through this partnership, patients of the London Clinic will now have full access to Maggie’s centres – warm, welcoming spaces where they can drop in, just as they are, and receive expert support without appointment or referral.
Both Maggie’s and The London Clinic share a core mission to deliver excellent care and support to patients throughout every stage of their cancer journey – from diagnosis, through treatment and beyond.
As a charity, The London Clinic reinvest any surplus we make to advance medical care and technology, into clinical training and education and improving outcomes for patients. Partnering with Maggie’s aligns with The London Clinic’s charitable commitment to improve the lives of patients beyond their treatment.
Founded in 1996, Maggie’s has been providing free, expert practical and psychological support to people living with cancer for nearly thirty years. This includes access to workshops, courses, one-on-one and group support. Maggie’s helps patients with stress and depression, managing side-effects, money worries and relationship and family support.
Every Maggie’s centre is thoughtfully designed to be calming and welcoming; a place with comfy sofas, large open spaces for group activities and kitchen tables for conversation, as well as plenty of quiet corners for reflection.
There are 24 Maggie’s centres across the UK, including those closest to The London Clinic at St Bartholomew’s Hospital (Barts) and The Royal Free Hospital, as well as centres at Charing Cross Hospital and The Royal Marsden.
We are delighted to work alongside Maggie’s and to extend their invaluable services to our patients and their loved ones.
