The London Clinic is pleased to announce Dr Nathan Kasivisvanathan as its new Chief Medical Officer, to replace Professor Jules Wendon, who steps down after three and a half years.

Dr Kasivisvanathan joins The London Clinic from Circle Health Group, where he served as Medical Director with responsibility for medical performance across the group, overseeing more than 6,500 doctors, more than 50 Clinical Chairs and over 100 Resident Medical Officers.

During his tenure at Circle Health Group, Dr Kasivisvanathan played an important role supporting a period of significant growth and transformation, including expansion to 54 hospitals nationwide, revenues exceeding £1.2 billion, and sustained improvements in regulatory ratings across hospitals and medical services.

Earlier in his career, Dr Kasivisvanathan held several senior leadership roles at The Royal Marsden, one of the world’s leading specialist cancer centres and has provided national leadership through multiple programme boards at Royal College and NHS England level, with a focus on quality improvement, research, and patient outcomes.

Dr Kasivisvanathan said, “I am honoured to be appointed Chief Medical Officer at The London Clinic—one of the UK’s largest independent hospitals and an organisation with a distinguished heritage and a longstanding reputation for clinical excellence.

“I am also delighted to work closely with colleagues at Northwestern Medicine, further developing our international collaboration and supporting The London Clinic’s ambition to deliver world-class, innovative care.”

The London Clinic recently welcomed Jay Anderson, as Chief Transformation Officer and Frances Fraher, as Chief Financial Officer, to its Executive Board.

London Clinic Chief Executive, Al Russell, said, “I would like to welcome Dr Kasivisvanathan, who will be officially joining us on May 1. On behalf of all the staff at The London Clinic, I would like to thank Professor Wendon for her huge contribution. Jules has made a fantastic impact over the years at The London Clinic, always ensuring we meet the very highest standards of ethics and patient care. “
