Ms Amynah Goawalla
Miss Goawalla has expertise in treating cataracts (including with premium lens implants), eyelid lumps, bumps, tumours and injuries, ectropion, entropion and ptosis, excess eyelid skin (blepharoplasty) and external eye disease. She also practices general and emergency ophthalmology, with an interest in neuro ophthalmology.
Bio
Dr Amynah Goawalla studied medicine at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Medical School in London and qualified as a doctor in 1999. She went on to specialise in ophthalmology and completed the bulk of her higher surgical training at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
She developed further sub-specialist expertise in oculoplastic surgery after undertaking fellowships in Brighton and then in Cardiff, Wales. Dr Goawalla has been practising as a consultant eye surgeon since 2013.
She joined Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust as a substantive consultant in 2017 where she does emergency and general ophthalmology with a continued specialist surgical focus on cataract and oculoplastic surgery.
She sees both self funded and insured private patients on Wednesdays at 119 Harley Street, where she sees and treats patients covering a comprehensive range of general ophthalmic conditions, with a continued specialist expertise in treating cataracts (including with premium lens implants), eyelid lumps, bumps, tumours and injuries, ectropion, entropion and ptosis, excess eyelid skin (blepharoplasty) and external eye disease. She also practices general and emergency ophthalmology, with an andd interest in neuro ophthalmology.
She is married, lives in central London and in her spare time enjoys painting, interior design projects, long walks and family life.
She is also has a deep passion for giving back, and where possible likes to offer voluntary service as an eye surgeon in less developed countries.
