Mr David Gordon Consultant Profile
Mr David Gordon is a fellowship trained consultant orthopaedic surgeon, specialising in keyhole (minimally invasive) foot and ankle surgery, in particular bunion (hallux valgus) surgery. He has performed over 1,100 minimally-invasive bunion surgeries and over 3,500 keyhole foot procedures.
Mr Gordon is passionate about surgery outcomes and has one of the largest research databases on bunion outcomes in the world (started in 2012). This has allowed him and his research team to analyse, problem-solve and evolve care in hallux valgus, to improve patient outcomes.
As well as bunions, he also treats the full range of foot and ankle conditions, including trauma. David has a strong network of allied healthcare professionals to refer to and always considers non-surgical options before surgical. Raised in London, Mr Gordon obtained his medical qualification from Liverpool Medical School in 1998 with a Distinction in Cell Biology. Following his membership to the Royal College of Surgeons, David’s undertook specialist training in London including at St. Mary’s Hospital (Imperial) and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore.
He spent a year in Sydney, Australia, undertaking fellowship training in foot, ankle and knee surgery. On his return, he completed a Trauma Fellowship at the Royal London Hospital. In 2015, he moved into full time private practice, based in Central and North London and Hertfordshire.
