How to access our care and expertise

At The London Clinic, we make it incredibly easy for international patients to access our world-class treatments and expertise.

This includes us providing a dedicated international support team and easy payment options, as well as second opinion and video consultation services that can be accessed from anywhere in the world.

Payment options

If your treatment is being sponsored by your government embassy or company, we recommend you first get in touch with our international team.

They can provide you with helpful advice and speak directly to your embassy or company to confirm your medical cover.

Once your cover is confirmed, your embassy or company will provide you with a letter of guarantee (also known as a guarantee of payment). 

It’s very important you bring your letter of guarantee with you when you come to The London Clinic. 

You can pay for your own treatment if you don’t have medical insurance, or you’re not covered for the treatment or procedure you require.

We work with private medical insurance and medical assistance companies from all over the world to help international patients access treatment and care at The London Clinic.

If you’re looking to use private medical insurance, you’ll normally need to obtain a referral from your GP first. 

If you don’t have one, we have a private GP service at The London Clinic who can help you with your referral requirements.

First, we recommend you speak to our international team. They can book appointments with GPs and consultants and liaise directly with your insurance company. 

Receive a second medical opinion

We offer an expert second medical opinion service, which you can use from anywhere in the world. 

The service offers you the opportunity to have your medical records and images, such as ultrasound scans, reviewed by our renowned consultants.

Our first-class second opinion service can provide invaluable peace of mind if you have concerns or doubts about your current diagnosis, you’re unhappy with the treatment recommended to you, you want to explore further treatment options or you have questions you need answers to.

Book a video consultation

Through our pioneering video consultation service, you can speak to world-class consultants, therapists and healthcare professionals from the comfort of your home – wherever you are in the world. 

Our digital video consultation service is called Connect by The London Clinic. The service allows up to six people, including family members, friends and interpreters, to join your video consultation. 

We’re proud to say this is the first time a hospital has made such a wide range of internationally renowned doctors and other healthcare professionals available in this way.
