What is plastic surgery?

Plastic surgery is also known as reconstructive surgery. Following trauma, it can repair and restore the appearance of the face and body.

The plastic and reconstructive surgery team are based on the 5th floor of the main hospital.

They are committed to delivering high-quality care for the best clinical outcomes.

What is cosmetic surgery?

People who come to us for cosmetic surgery have usually been thinking about it for a long time.

Perhaps your breasts have dropped as a result of pregnancy and breastfeeding. Maybe you have lost weight and have been considering a body lift or a tummy tuck.

Whatever your reasons, we’re here to listen. Your preferred consultant will be able to discuss the next steps with you in a private consultation.

Plastic surgery after cancer treatment

Surgery or radiotherapy used to treat various types of cancer can be highly successful. but reconstructive surgery may be necessary to repair surrounding health tissues.

Plastic surgery can play an important role in rehabilitation. This can include reconstructions, skin grafts or repairing fistulas after certain cancers.

Plastic surgery following trauma

Any type of accident, due to physical impact or burns, can cause injury. This may result in loss of tissue or direct damage to the bones, limbs, hands, feet or face.

Severe skin infections can also lead to disfigurement.

Plastic surgery can repair the damage. Cosmetic surgery may be combined with reconstruction to restore a more natural appearance.

At The London Clinic, we have specialists who can offer:

  • Reconstructive surgery to repair upper and lower limbs
  • Reconstruction to restore the function and appearance of the hand. This may include: nerve compression, hand paralysis, Dupuytren’s disease, arthritis and nerve ganglion
  • Facial reconstruction to repair the bones and tissues of the face
  • Skin grafting and scar reduction in patients with burn damage to the skin or after extensive lacerations.
