Dr Nick Plowman is the senior oncologist to St Bartholomew's Hospital, London, which treats cancer for the City and East side of London.
Dr Plowman is an experienced oncologist with a good pedigree in cancer research: he introduced low dose glucocorticoid therapy into advanced prostate cancer therapy, aromatase inhibitors for breast cancer into Europe and pioneereed stereotactic radiation treatment for brain lesions in the UK, all three of these now being routine ''best standard of care'' in cancer.
Additionally, he has published some 250 original manuscripts on cancer. He published a book on the Complications of Cancer Management (and reduction thereof). Dr Plowman runs an active oncology practice in Harley Street.
