Mr Elgohary has a broad experience in general ophthalmology and cataract surgery as well as a sub-specialised interest in vitreous & retinal disorders, including floaters, retinal tears & detachment, macular hole, diabetic complications e.g. vitreous haemorrhage. Mr Elgohary also has expertise in the management of eye injuries and trauma as well as in performing complex lens implant procedures, e.g. reposition or exchange of subluxated or dislocated lens implants.

Bio

Mr Mostafa Elgohary is a Consultant Ophthalmologist specialising in vitreoretinal surgery at Kingston Hospital.

Mr Elgohary completed his residency training on the North Thames London Deanery program that included rotation between Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, University College London Hospitals, and Moorfields Eye Hospital, London.

Mr Elgohary completed his fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at the world-renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital and also trained in paediatric ophthalmology and vitreoretinal disorders at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, Canada.

Mr Elgohary has a broad experience in treating general ophthalmic conditions and subspecialised interest in treating vitreous and retinal disorders such as floaters, retinal tears & detachment, macular hole and traumatic injury and complex cataract procedures e.g. reposition or exchange of dislocated lens implants.

Mr Elgohary has interest in teaching and lectures regularly to both undergraduate and postgraduate students at UCL as well as to eye doctors at different national and international meetings. He also has published several research papers in the field of cataract surgery and vitreoretinal surgery.
