Improved quality of life following prostate operation: Ian’s story

When Ian Murray first began experiencing symptoms of benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH), his daily life was disrupted by frequent night time trips to the bathroom, a persistently slow urinary flow, and a feeling that his bladder was never fully empty. 

Having dealt with these uncomfortable symptoms for a few years, and now wanting a more permanent solution he sought advice from his GP and was referred to The London Clinic to see a urologist, and then for a prostate operation.

Battling bladder cancer: Ralston’s Story

Ralston Maas’ battle with bladder cancer started with what seemed like a minor symptom, difficulty urinating, which he initially thought might be due to a kidney stone. 

 

But when his symptoms continued, he sought advice from his NHS GP, only to be confronted with a difficult diagnosis: cancerous tumours present in his bladder.

 

This marked the start of a challenging health journey, involving multiple operations and treatments aimed at tackling the cancer.
