Hospital announcements

We were proud to have welcomed insurers from Aetna International as part of their first Health Matters Forum held on Thursday 11th April 2019. This was an opportunity for them to see first-hand the care given to their members who are treated at The London Clinic and to demystify some key industry topics.

Aetna International

Attendees listened to talks from our clinical teams, including oncologists, physiotherapists and from Mandy Hatcher, our Radiotherapy Clinical Nurse Specialist who runs the bespoke ‘Moving on after Cancer’ workshops to help people readjust to life after treatment. There were also presentations from our Executive Board team, including Chief Executive Al Russell who opened the event and spoke about our vision and ethos.  Our Executive Head Chef, Paul O’Brien spoke about how specialist hospital food can support the treatment process.

Nicholas Da Costa, Head of International at The London Clinic, said: “We were delighted to host Aetna and their stakeholders. It’s an important aspect of our close relationship that we are both aligned in focusing on individualised and personalised health care, and we are proud that Aetna places its trust in us to look after their members.”

Damian Lenihan, Executive Director, Europe, at Aetna International, commented: “Brokers rarely get the chance to see the tailored and high-quality care that our members receive, so this was a fantastic opportunity to bring it all to life. Thanks to the atmosphere and team at The London Clinic, it was a very memorable occasion for all who attended.
