Diagnostic tests and scans at The London Clinic
The imaging department at The London Clinic has over 60 full-time staff who provide a full diagnostic imaging service.
We provide a comprehensive range of both inpatient and outpatient investigative procedures in an efficient, comfortable and stress-free environment.
Equipment is continually updated and the technology is in place to offer the latest diagnostic imaging techniques as well as a full nuclear medicine service.
Nuclear medicine is widely used in oncology and also makes it possible for gastroenterologists to assess gut transit, orthopaedic surgeons to investigate joint infections and for endocrinology specialists to investigate endocrine function.
We combine the most advanced technology and facilities with leading radiology expertise to provide a first-class patient experience and world-class reporting.
We are committed to continual upgrading of our software and systems to make sure that our equipment is always at the leading edge of clinical practice.
Our specialist Interventional Radiologists also offer therapeutic procedures that are guided by imaging technology.
INTRA-OPERATIVE RADIOTHERAPY (IORT) TREATMENTS FOR CANCER
Intra-operative radiotherapy is when a very localised, high dose of radiation is given at the same time as the surgical treatment.
The London Clinic is one of the few sites in the UK to offer treatment with the Carl Zeiss Intrabeam® system - a miniaturised X-ray device which is located within our on-site theatres.
The London Clinic works with leading surgeons and oncologists in the field to offer IORT for these indications:
Brain cancer | Breast cancer | Colorectal cancer |
