Industry medal for endocrinology nurse Phillip Yeoh

01 Dec 2023

Phillip Yeoh, Consultant Nurse, Endocrinology and Diabetes at The London Clinic, has won the 2023 Nikki Kieffer Medal from the Society for Endocrinology.

The Nikki Kieffer Medal recognises individuals who have demonstrated innovative and successful nurse-led initiatives in the endocrine field.

Phillip said of his career, “I have worked as Consultant Nurse in Endocrinology at The London Clinic for nearly 10 years now. I am currently doing my PhD at Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery and Palliative Care at King’s College London, where I am at my final stage doing my data analysis.”

Philip is the Consultant Nurse for the endocrinology service at the Clinic, part of a skilled multidisciplinary team including diabetes specialist nurses working together our patients and consultants.

The Society for Endocrinology brings together the global endocrine community, and supports scientists, clinicians and nurses who work with hormones throughout their careers.

As part of winning the award, Phillip was invited to give a lecture at SfE BES, the annual conference for the Society for Endocrinology.

“My lecture this year is based on my experience of looking after people with adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) for the last 23 years and my research work at King’s for the last 6 years.”
