Our expert team is composed of renowned specialists with expertise in the investigation of respiratory symptoms such as cough, breathlessness, and chest pain. Additionally, providing expertise in the management of cough, breathlessness, chest infections, asthma, COPD, and bronchiectasis.

There is a particular MDT focus on providing exceptional care for lung cancer, mesothelioma and thymic tumours. Chest cancer is a highly specialised field that requires the expertise of a diverse team, including chest physicians, thoracic surgeons, radiologists, pathologists and oncologists.

Our consultant medical team is supported by skilled technicians, dedicated clinical nurse specialists, experienced nursing staff and in-house dietitians, all committed to guiding you through every step of your journey.

Dr Dionysis Papadatos-Pastos, Consultant Medical Oncologist

Dr. Papadatos-Pastos is a distinguished oncologist specialising in lung cancer, mesothelioma, thymoma, and thymic cancer. With an extensive publication record in leading medical journals, he is a sought-after speaker and contributor to national and international conferences. Dr. Papadatos-Pastos adopts a multidisciplinary approach to deliver personalised and comprehensive care for his patients.

Mr David Lawrence, Consultant Cardiothoracic Surgeon

Mr David Lawrence graduated from King’s College London and trained in cardiothoracic surgery in world recognised London, UK hospitals. He has 25 years of experience in heart and lung surgery and been a consultant since 2002. He was awarded an MSc for his surgical research in gene therapy.

Mr Lawrence is an experienced surgeon in both conventional and minimally invasive thoracic surgical techniques, and he is fully trained to use the da Vinci Robotic Si Surgical System for thoracic surgical procedures.

Dr Hemal Ariyaratne, Consultant Clinical Oncologist

Dr Hemal Ariyaratne is a consultant clinical oncologist specialising in lung cancer. His research interests include IGRT, SABR, and integration of immunotherapy.

He is the lead for lung radiotherapy and stereotactic ablative body radiotherapy at the NHS Royal Free London, as well as the principal investigator for several clinical trials in thoracic radiotherapy.

Dr Ricardo José, Consultant in Respiratory Medicine

Dr Ricardo José is a specialist in respiratory medicine. Dr José sees patients with all respiratory symptoms including shortness of breath, cough, chest pain and wheeze. He has particular expertise in the management of chest infections, bronchiectasis, airway disease and pulmonary complications of cancer therapy.
