Mr. Jonathan Noël is a Consultant Urological & Robotic Prostate Surgeon at The London Clinic. With a rich tapestry of qualifications and experience, he has made significant strides in advancing the field.

Mr. Noël's journey commenced in the Caribbean, where he obtained his medical degree. Returning to the UK to specialise in urology, he honed his skills in revolutionary prostatectomy techniques, including the anterior retzius spare from the Royal Marsden and the NeuroSAFE technique from Lister Hospital, both of which contribute to enhanced patient care.

Elevating his expertise further, Mr. Noël embarked on a competitive fellowship in Florida, USA, mentored by the esteemed Professor Vipul Patel. This mentorship, coupled with his surgical foundation from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, has solidified his approach to radical prostate surgery. As a testament to his dedication, he has performed over 100 robotic procedures within his first year at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, a number significantly surpassing the national median.

Mr. Noël's research pursuits delve into emerging surgical technologies; including semi-autonomous robotics, augmented reality mentorship, and artificial intelligence to enhance precision of the surgery. His leadership extends to his role as a key figure in prostate cancer diagnosis at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, shaping patient journeys and outcomes.

Mr Noël offers a Transperineal Prostate Biopsy service to our patients with suspicious findings on their MRI prostate. An ultrasound probe is inserted via the back passage to scan the prostate. Biopsies are taken through the skin between the scrotum and the back passage (the perineum). This decreases risks of the traditional transrectal prostate biopsy.
