Bio
Emanuel de Carvalho is a consultant ophthalmologist specialising in Neuro-ophthalmology and Medical Retina. He completed his medical training at the University Medical Centre Amsterdam in the Netherlands and holds a Doctorate Degree in Molecular Ophthalmology from the University of Amsterdam. He completed dual clinical fellowship training in Neuro-ophthalmology and Medical Retina at Moorfields Eye Hospital and at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London. He holds a consultant post at Moorfields Eye Hospital where he specialises in complex neuro-ophthalmic and retinal disorders and was formerly a clinical lecturer and consultant ophthalmologist in inherited retinal and neuro-ophthalmic diseases at the University Medical Centre in Amsterdam.
