Mr Dan Wright
Dan Wright is a spinal neurosurgeon committed to finding the best treatment for each patient either surgical or non-surgical. He treats a wide range of adult spinal conditions including back pain, neck pain and sciatica. He specialises in minimally invasive/keyhole approaches and robot assisted spinal surgery.
Bio
Dan completed general neurosurgery training at the Oxford John Radcliffe Hospital followed by the prestigious spine fellowship at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London. He has also completed orthopaedic spine fellowships at Guy's and St Thomas’ Hospital, London and the Oxford Spinal Surgery Unit.
His NHS base is at the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, a major trauma unit and regional referral centre, where he has a busy spinal practice both elective and emergency. If intervention is required he uses a breadth of different surgical strategies including injection therapies, minimally invasive/ keyhole and open techniques. Dan is also one of the UK’s early pioneers of robotic spinal surgical techniques.
