Dr Daniela Erna Andrich, Honorary Associate Professor and Consultant Urological Surgeon is based at University College London Hospitals, UK. Dr Andrich is a world expert in urethral surgery, urinary incontinence surgery and complex surgical procedures related to complications of prostate cancer treatments.
Bio
Dr. Andrich is a Reconstructive Urological Surgeon with interest in all aspects of urethral stricture disease, surgical management of male and female urinary incontinence and repair of urological injury such as urinary fistulae or bladder neck contracture which affects patients after prostate cancer treatments or radiotherapy. She is Honorary Associate Professor of Urology at UCL and holds a Master of Science degree in Urology, UCL and MD degree from the Humboldt University Berlin. Dr Andrich is approachable, caring, honest and thoughtful. She enjoys getting to know each of her patients and working together to find the best possible solution to suit each unique situation. She provides thorough explanations of disease processes and all the options for non-surgical and surgical treatment.

Dr Andrich runs a prestigious fellowship program attracting high calibre senior fellows from around the world in preparation for their independent reconstructive urology practice and hosts the distinguished international GURS-Masterclass live-surgery conference every year since 2007. In 2020, Daniela founded the ‘Advanced Urinary Catheterisation Academy Ltd’ (www.auca.arlo.co) to provide practical skills training courses for healthcare professionals, clinical skills trainers and medical students. Daniela’s research interests are focused on the prevention of catheterisation injury of the lower urinary tract and regenerative treatments of urethral stricture disease. Daniela is the founder&CEO of Urethrotech, which brought to market the NICE-approved Urethral Catheterisation Device (UCD) to solve difficult male urethral catheterisation for safer patient care. Dr Andrich is past President of the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons (GURS).
