Bio
Mr Bob Chatterjee holds dual qualifications in spinal surgery and neurosurgery and is a consultant spinal surgeon. He focuses on providing surgical solutions and minimally invasive surgery via the latest keyhole spinal surgical techniques; specialising in spinal problems in the elderly, and specific and non-specific back, neck, and sciatic pain. He has a specialist interest in, and experience of, robotic spinal surgery.

Qualifying from Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, Mr Chatterjee completed his initial spinal surgery training in Oxford. Following this, he was awarded a research grant from the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital which he used to fund his studies in to bone regeneration and subsequently received a distinction for his research. Another award followed this in the form of a joint neurosurgical and orthopaedic spinal fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) of England.
He completed this fellowship at Cambridge University Hospital practising at Norfold and Norwhich NHS Trust.
Since becoming an expert consultant in his field, Mr Chatterjee has reciprocated towards his education in spinal surgery. He is a faculty member of several education courses and commits to education by also lecturing and teaching internationally. He tutors for minimally-invasive spinal surgery (MISS), and is a widely respected UK tutor for AO Spince (Swiss International Standards for Spinal Surgery). He is impassioned by training junior spinal surgeons which he undertakes on a regular basis.
