Dr Farooq Rahman

Dr Rahman is a Consultant Gastroenterologist with extensive experience in general gastroenterology and hepatology. He obtained his PhD investigating the immunopathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease and remains actively involved in undergraduate/postgraduate teaching and clinical research at UCLH/UCL.
Bio
Dr Rahman is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at University College London Hospital and Honorary Associate Professor at University College London. He is a luminal Gastroenterologist with extensive experience in general gastroenterology and hepatology. He obtained his PhD investigating the immunopathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease and remains actively involved in undergraduate/postgraduate teaching and clinical research at UCLH/UCL.
His subspecialty interests include inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis), clinical nutrition, intestinal failure/short bowel syndrome and therapeutic colonoscopy. He also regularly sees patients with irritable bowel syndrome, Coeliac disease, bile acid malabsorption, radiation enteropathy and anaemia.
