Mr Danny Mitry is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Ophthalmic Surgeon. He treats general eye conditions of the cornea and lens as well as medical and surgical diseases of the retina. He has extensive expertise in retinal surgery, refractive lens exchange and cataract surgery.

Bio

Mr Danny Mitry is a consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at the Royal Free London. He graduated with honours in surgery from Trinity College Dublin and completed his residency training at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. He was awarded a PhD from the University of Edinburgh for his extensive work on the causes and outcomes of retinal detachment surgery. Mr Mitry was appointed as senior resident at Moorfields Eye Hospital where he also completed higher fellowship training in vitreo-retinal surgery. 

His clinical interests are retinal disease, cataract surgery, refractive lens exchange with multifocal lenses and general ophthalmology. He is an acclaimed, highly experienced ophthalmic surgeon who has performed thousands of eye operations with an exceptional level of success and patient satisfaction. 

He is also an accomplished academic ophthalmologist who has published over 50 research articles in leading Ophthalmic journals. Mr Mitry has given many lectures nationally and has been an invited lecturer in Europe and the United States. Mr Mitry has been entrusted to continue the practice of Mr Jonathan Jagger, the retired Surgeon Oculist to Her Majesty the Queen.
