Professional profile

Robin Woolfson was appointed as Consultant Nephrologist & Honorary Senior Lecturer to the Middlesex and Whittington Hospitals in 1997.
Since 2005, his NHS activity has been based at the Royal Free Hospital where he was appointed Clinical Director for Nephrology, Hepatology and Transplantation Services in 2006 and then Divisional Medical Director for Transplantation and Specialist Services since 2009.
Robin Woolfson graduated from Cambridge University and St Thomas' Hospital Medical School in 1983. He trained as a Renal Registrar at Guy's Hospital Renal Unit and subsequently as a Senior Registrar and Clinical Lecturer at the Institute of Urology and Nephrology, UCLH.
His MD was awarded by Cambridge University in 1990 and he has published numerous peer-reviewed papers and book chapters.He has maintained a strong interest in training and education, serving as Chairman of the London Deanery Specialist Training Committee for Renal Medicine from 2005 to 2012.
