Patients with triple negative breast cancer do not respond well to hormonal breast cancer treatments and therefore require a different treatment programme.

The programme, which is tailored to the individual patient, will focus on prompt surgery to remove the tumour, followed by careful sentinel lymph node biopsy or axillary dissection.  A course of tailored chemotherapy and targeted radiotherapy will then be conducted, to prevent the cancer spreading.

Your consultant oncologist will discuss your needs and develop a tailored programme to give you the best possible treatment.
