The London Clinic Oncology Centre
The London Clinic Oncology
Centre provides comprehensive care and treatment to patients and
their families, using the expertise of a large multi-disciplinary
team and supported by extensive medical facilities and
equipment.
Description
Our 20-bed ward provides care for patients receiving
chemotherapy, hormone therapy, immunotherapy, palliative care and
other related oncology treatments. The unit also
contains an outpatient department for general day-patient
treatments and chemotherapy,
and a transplant unit for stem cell and bone marrow
transplantations. The transplant unit is accredited with EBMT
(European Group for Blood and Bone Marrow Transplantation) and is a
harvesting centre for the Anthony Nolan Trust.
Staff
Our oncology and haematology trained nurses, doctors and other
healthcare professionals have specialist experience in caring for
patients with cancer, and aim to provide care of the highest
standards. Our high nurse-to-patient ratio ensures specialist
nurses are readily available to care for patients.
The oncology nursing departments are affiliated with the North
London Cancer Network and are accredited by the Healthcare
Commission.
