Facilities at the Duchess of Devonshire wing

As well as having the latest cancer treatment facilities for surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and immunotherapy, The Duchess of Devonshire Wing at The London Clinic has access to treatment units located in other parts of the hospital’s site.

A connecting tunnel links the Duchess of Devonshire Wing with the main hospital building, so that patients, staff and portable equipment can be moved easily.

Within the building itself, everything has been designed with the needs of our patients in mind.

Each patient room has been designed for maximum comfort, cleanliness and safety.

  • Integral blinds within triple glazed windows
  • Ergonomically designed private bathrooms with washing facilities for patients who find moving around difficult
  • Rooms are all air conditioned with a very powerful filtration system
  • Alcohol rub stations are positioned in every room and throughout the patient areas to ensure hand cleanliness
  • Hands-free bins and washing facilities. The water taps have a sensor flow so staff, patients and their visitors will not have to touch them when washing hands
  • All the metalwork in the treatment areas and patient rooms are coated with an anti-bacterial finish
