Research interests

Professor Teare has major research interests in endoscopy development. He is a Wellcome investigator producing a novel endoscope known as the i-Snake, and leads a programme of research at Imperial on endoscopic techniques to mange obesity and diabetes.

Professor Teare is also part of a study group developing NOTES (natural orifice translumenal endoscopic surgery) – incisionless surgery where operations can be performed without abdominal incisions.

PERSONAL LIFE

Married with three children Dr Teare is a keen fly fisherman spending as many spare weekends on the River Test. He is also plays tennis and follows rugby, cricket and football.
