Mr Carter was a Consultant Urologist in the NHS for 20 years and is still practicing at the London Clinic.
He has spent most of his urological career finding ways to better manage men with lower urinary tract symptoms or LUTS. This has included developing microwave treatments and evaluating many new systems of treating BPH currently using a novel day case procedure to relieve obstruction (Urolift) and saline resection.
He has a major practice in dealing with complicated symptoms in men which have not been resolved elsewhere using sophisticated diagnostic pathways.
Mr Carter is interested in travel and high mountain walking, diving in warm seas, Opera, theatre and the arts. He is married with three children.
