What is it for?

To treat stubborn pockets of fat

Treatment overview

Fat freezing treatments target stubborn pockets of fat that can be hard to shift through exercise or diet. It is a non-invasive and non-surgical treatment that uses an applicator which is secured to the target area.

The skin is then cooled down to a very specific temperature to kill and reduce the size of fat cells. These dead fat cells then leave the body through natural processes. These natural processes are known as apoptosis or cell death.

It affects the localised treatment area within the applicator only, and does not cause any damage to the surrounding tissue.

FAQs

Fat freezing, or cryolipolysis, is a non-surgical fat reduction treatment. It works by using very cold temperatures to reduce the size of fat cells in specific areas. By freezing them, they are destroyed and, over time, become eliminated by the body through your natural lymphatic system. In the treated area fat freezing can result in a 30% reduction in fat, which you can maintain by following your treatment plan.

The benefits that you might expect to receive from fat freezing treatments can include:

  • Permanent reduction of fat in a specific area
  • A slimmer and more youthful appearance
  • Body confidence and a new lease of life

Fat freezing treatments can deliver great weight loss results. It is important to remember that these are not immediate so you will need to be patient. In the consultation, your practitioner will also make you aware of temporary side effects which can include:

  • Bruising
  • Swelling
  • Redness
  • Mild inflammation
  • Tingling and numbness
  • Soreness and tenderness
  • Skin sensitivity
