Our stem cell service is accredited by JACIE and regulated by the Human Tissue Authority (HTA). Our blood transfusion service is regulated by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
The Haematology and stem cell transplant team
The team is made up of 22 staff members, comprising administrative and clinical staff.
The team has a wealth of experience and has presented both oral and poster presentations at international conferences. We are a well-known facility within the stem cell and transplant community.

Diane Monroe - Bone Marrow Transplant Coordinator & Head nurse
Diane qualified in 1985 at Kings College Hospital going on to complete several courses in haematology, stem cell/bone marrow transplantation and chemotherapy before completing her MBA in 2006.
She has worked at The London Clinic for 27 years. One of her proudest moments was the successful accreditation with JACIE (Joint Accreditation Committee International and Europe).
Serpil Vieira - G Grade - Deputy Manager
Serpil completed her nursing training at Aegean University in Turkey, graduating in 1995. That same year she started work in a haematology wad in Istanbul Medical Faculty where she stayed until 2001. In 2001 she moved to England where she gained her nursing licence at the Cromwell Hospital.
In 2002 she came to The London Clinic where she has been able to continue her passion for teaching and research. Her other passion is research because she believes that good research can lead to the best possible practice.
Michael Librojo - F Grade - In charge Nurse
Michael graduated with a BSc in Nursing before going on to work at senior levels in the private sector and as a chief nurse in a government hospital in the Philippines. Michael wanted to work in the UK and undertook adaptation in the NHS.
After completion of this in 2003, he came to The London Clinic in the stem cell transplant unit, where he has since been promoted to senior staff nurse. His interests lie in infection control, which is paramount to the unit and he also undertakes the link nurse role.
Juat Ng - F Grade - In charge Nurse
Juat started working at The London Clinic in 1979 as an agency general oncology before obtaining a permanent position in 1987. Juat holds qualifications in RGN RM (midwifery), ENB 998, Aids and IV courses, and courses in haematology and oncology.
Leo Chavez - E Grade Staff Nurse
Leo studied at the Colegio de Santa Isabel in Vincentian, qualifying in 1996. He has worked across various hospitals including the Mother Seton Hospital, BUPA hospitals, and for the NHS, before coming to The London Clinic in 2007.
His interests and specialities are elderly care, general surgery, neuroscience, oncology and haematology.
