Patients usually require a GP or specialist referral letter to make an appointment with one of our consultants. However, if you are paying for your own treatment rather than through your health insurance, you may be able to make an appointment directly without a referral letter. However, a referral is usually preferred.
We allow 40 minutes for new patient consultations and 20 minutes for follow-ups. The Consultants make every effort to see their patients at the time of their appointment, however, unfortunately delays cannot always be avoided.
Patients should be aware that we operate very much as a team, sharing information where appropriate, and in the best interests of the patients. We endeavour to manage clinical data in such a way that any one of the doctors will always have a patient’s full medical history and most recent investigations at their disposal, should they need to see another Consultant’s patient.
