We offer outpatient consultations and have inpatient facilities at The London Clinic.  Outpatient clinics are held every week day and ward rounds are under taken seven days a week. Consultant cover is provided 24 hours a day including weekends.

  • acute and chronic leukaemia
  • lymphomas (both Hodgkin’s Disease and Non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas)
  • multiple myelomas
  • myeloproliferative disorders
  • myelodysplastic syndromes

Treatments

We can provide all of the most effective licensed modalities of treatment, including the latest developments in chemotherapy and stem cell transplant procedures. 

In 2019, we introduced CAR-T cell therapy, a cutting-edge treatment for adults with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.

In addition to blood cell cancers, we also offer treatments for

  • non-malignant haematologic disorders (including anaemias)
  • iron-related disorders
  • haemoglobinopathies (both thalassaemia’s and sickle cell disease)
  • coagulation disorders and anticoagulation therapy

STEM CELL COLLECTION

We have a close association with Anthony Nolan, DKMS and the British Bone Marrow Registry (BBMR).

We are the largest JACIE accredited stem cell collection centre in the whole of Europe for peripheral blood stem cell collections (PBSC) and bone marrow harvest volunteer donors.

    Together they hold monthly multidisciplinary team meetings where all treatment options are considered before tailo- made individualised treatment is commenced.

    Facilities

    The London Haematology unit offers rapid access to diagnostics from its pathology and radiology services.  These provide us with immediate access to CT scans, MRIs, ultrasound scans and other tests.

    The London Clinic has a state-of-the-art intensive care unit and facilities for dialysis.

    When required, consultant respiratory physicians, cardiologists, oncologists, endocrinologists with an interest in diabetes and neurologists may also be invited to help with the management of patients with haematological issues.

    Treatment for patients is delivered by their lead nurse in a dedicated unit so that patients can maintain their privacy dignity and comfort. 

    We provide safe chemotherapy, immunotherapy and biological treatments. We insert Hickman and PICC lines so that bloods tests and chemotherapies and blood product support are given painlessly. 

    We offer holistic treatment such as massage, aroma therapy and counselling. Patients are given information leaflets about their condition and therapies and information to access the unit out of hours. 

    There is a 24 hour on-call service for the patients. We ensure that a patient's GP and other health care professionals are aware of their progress. and can also help with support of patients and their families in the community.
