Mr Valerio Celentano
Valerio Celentano is a consultant colorectal surgeon specialising in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn's disease, Ulcerative Colitis, Ileoanal Pouch surgery), colorectal cancer and minimally invasive "keyhole" surgery. Mr Celentano performs diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopy (rectal bleeding), treatment of haemorrhoids, anal fistula, anal fissure, pilonidal sinus.
Bio
Valerio Celentano is a consultant colorectal surgeon at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital (London), where he is the lead for Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Ileoanal Pouch surgery, and a core member of the endometriosis and colorectal cancer multidisciplinary team.
Prior to becoming a consultant surgeon he undertook colorectal surgery fellowships in nationally recognized LAPCO training Units in the UK, gaining vast experience in minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of colorectal cancer and IBD. He also trained in the United States, Italy and France.
Mr Celentano is actively involved in medical education and surgical training. He holds a Honorary Senior Lectureship at Imperial College London and has a strong interest in research, having published more than 80 full text articles.
