Dr Victoria Swale

Dr Swale is a Consultant Dermatologist specialising in moles, lesions and skin cancer. I also have a special interest in vulval disease.
Bio
After a background in general medicine, Dr Victoria Swale started her training in Dermatology in 1996.
Dr Swale trained in several excellent London teaching hospitals, and achieved an MD from the University of London for her research into genetic conditions and the skin. She took up her post as Consultant Dermatologist at the Royal Free Hospital in 2004, and combined that post with a locum Consultant role in Skin Pathology since 2006.
Dr Swale has a special interest in the diagnosis of moles and other benign and malignant skin lesions using Dermoscopy, and use of mole mapping for monitoring. She also has a special interest in the management of vulval conditions such as lichen sclerosus.
Dr Swale was Senior Judge for the British Association of Dermatologists' Annual Conference in 2017, and again in 2019. She is a member of Council for the British Society for the Study of Vulval Diseases. Dr Swale has been involved in setting Dermatology exam questions for professional exams since 2006. She is involved in post-graduate teaching, and lecture regularly in both Dermatology and Dermatopathology.
