Dr Sameer Zar

Dr Zar is Consultant Gastroenterologist whose specialist clinical interests include upper and lower GI cancer, IBS, Crohn’s/colitis, reflux disease, Barrett’s oesophagus, pancreas and liver disorders. He is a recognised expert in colonoscopy, endoscopy and ERCP, and runs a GI physiology laboratory and specialist hepatitis service at the St Helier Hospital.
Bio
Dr Zar completed postgraduate training in General Medicine and Gastroenterology in the South West Thames Scheme and trained at various hospitals including Kings Liver Unit, Mayday and St Helier University Hospitals. He was awarded a PhD by the University of London for my research work at St George's Hospital Medical School, London. He researched the role of food hypersensitivity in Irritable Bowel Syndrome and its effect on gastrointestinal motility and has published several articles in leading international journals.
