Mr Haddo is a specialist in shoulder, elbow and upper limb. He has particular interest in keyhole (arthroscopic) surgery for the rotator cuff and dislocations/instability. He also specialises in shoulder replacements for arthritis, tennis & golfer's elbow, cubital and carpal tunnel syndromes, ganglions, trigger fingers and dupuyten's and upper limb sports injuries & fractures.

Professional profile

Mr Haddo studied medicine in London at St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical School. His BSc in Clinical Sciences was undertaken at St Mary’s Hospital, London.

After his basic surgical training, he was appointed to the prestigious Stanmore Orthopaedic Training Programme in 2002. He undertook a fellowship at the internationally renowned Reading Shoulder Unit, where he developed his skills in arthroscopic shoulder and elbow surgery and also in shoulder arthroplasty.

In 2008, he was appointed as a consultant at the Whittington Hospital, where he has worked to develop the shoulder and elbow service.

He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association, the British Elbow and Shoulder Society and the British Orthopaedic Sports Trauma Arthroscopy Association. He has published several scientific papers and book chapters. He has also presented at many national and international meetings.

He has a keen interest in education and is actively involved in undergraduate and post graduate medical education. He was the Surgical tutor at the Whittington hospital and has also previously held the position of Clinical Lead for the department.

He currently holds the position of Regional subspeciality advisor for the Royal College of Surgeons.
