Dr Shaheen Khan is a Consultant in Palliative Care and Clinical Director at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. 

He provides expertise in the holistic management of medical and psychological problems associated with serious illnesses including cancer, heart disease, respiratory problems, chronic kidney disease, and neurological disorders.

He graduated from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical School in 2003, having also been awarded a first class honours degree in BSc Neuroscience in 2000. He completed the MSc in Palliative Care from King’s College London in 2010, and in 2011 he obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Leadership.

Dr Khan is committed to education, and previously chaired the training committee for the Palliative Medicine StR training programme in London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex. He runs regular courses for staff on a range of topics including pain control, medication safety and advance care planning.
